What to visit

From the “Agriturismo Brattoni /The Brattoni Farmhouse” thanks to its great location you are just minutes away from the sea and other tourist attractions, so the places to see and the possible excursions are numerous.

Towards the coast 15km away is Palau, a small tourist town where every evening you can join the “passeggiata” and admire the colourful market stalls. From here in just 15 minutes you can visit the islands of La Maddalena and Caprera. Santa Teresa di Gallura is 20 km away surrounded by beautiful beaches, from the port here you can get a ferry to Corsica, which takes an hour. The Costa Smeralda is 25 km away for those who love the “dolce vita” with beaches frequented by VIPs, exclusive nightlife and designer brand boutiques.

Inland there is Luogosanto 11km away the town of gracious granite houses and Tempio Pausania dominated by Mount Limbara, over 1000m high, an oasis of cool air just an hour from the beach.

The beaches

In only 10 minutes by car you can reach the splendid beach of Rena Majore which has been the location of a movie set many times and the Porto Liscia beach considered by surfers as one of the best in northern Sardinia. All you have to do is choose, because the crystal clear waters of our coastline will amaze you with their colours. On the road to Santa Teresa di Gallura you can find the beaches of Conca Verde, Valle dell’Erica, La Marmorata, Rena Bianca, Capo Testa, etc. On the road to Palau are the beaches of Porto Pollo, the Isola dei Gabbiani, La Sciumara, Porto Faro, Cala Capra, Le Saline, Barca Bruciata until arriving in Cannigione.


Sites of archelogical interest

The are lots of sites in the area: the “Giants’ Tombs” of Li Lolghi, Coddu Ecchiu and Li Mezzani the last of these is renowned for its healing abilities; the remains of the Tempio di Malchittu; the ruins of the Nuraghe di La Prisciona, etc
